SHARON LUCK VISITS
A NEW LOCAL BUSINESS
JUST FOR A BUZZ.
The Zap House at Maroochydore uses SCENAR therapy to heal aches and pains.
BACK AND hip pain has plagued me most of my life, and anyone who has experienced such pain knows you become so desperate for a cure, you’ll try anything.
I thought I’d tried all the options, with varying degrees of success, until I heard about SCENAR therapy. Developed by the Russians as part of their space program in the late ’70s, it promises to be a non-invasive cure-all for just about any problem your body can throw at you.
That’s a big call. With some scepticism, I turned up for my appointment at The Zap House in Maroochydore. Using a hand-held device that looks remarkably like a TV remote control, I experienced a degree of relief that astounded me.
I could feel my back straightening up, my breathing becoming deeper, easier and less restricted. My hips relaxed, and for the first I could remember, they felt “straight”. I was also surprised to realise that my back was holding me up rather than hunching.
It was a big result from just a few minutes of the treatment, which wasn’t painful – all I felt was a tingling sensation.
The three practitioners at The Zap House are prime examples of how this therapy can change lives. Rose Hayman, Cyril Bourke and James Korber changed their career directions to become SCENAR devotees after personal experience with SCENAR therapy. Their stories cover everything from chronic illness to sports injuries and all of them turned their lives around when they eventually found SCENAR.
How does it work? SCENAR helps the body regain balance and full function by seeking out the areas where asymmetries exist. These are the tell-tale signs and areas where “homeostasis” (what you and I would call balance) is not present.
SCENAR can help any part of the body restore itself to full function and can be used to heal all sorts of health issues. Rose says many migraine sufferers can ease and have even eliminated their headaches with a SCENAR device that can be purchased for ongoing home use. Acute problems like sports injuries can be eliminated permanently with a short series of treatments at their clinic. And a common side-effect of the treatment is a burst of energy – one female runner said she was able to cover twice the distance just as easily after her first treatment.
I also experienced a burst of energy that lasted for several days – plus, my thinking was clearer, my vision seemed sharper and I felt great in general. The cynic in me was looking for ways to discount the changes but there was no denying the buzz – it faded after several days, but the pain relief lasted much longer.
